Joulupukki

Heippa,

Yesterday after the quick picture loading at the Rovaniemi turkisti info, we asked from the girl behind the counter that what is there to dod in Rovaniemi. She immediately pulled out a bruchure with reideer-, moose-, husky dog and so on safaris, prices ranging from 40€ to 75€... Huhhuhh... With insisting she told us that 20km from the city there is a Lapland Outside park, where were nice trails from 5km to 15km. We took one swamp trail and it was suuuuper lovely, we even saw some lovely rivers and rapids. But unfortunately here in library im not allowed to load any pictures (!) so no fotos for u yet.... So if u ever end up going to Rovaniemi dont belive the info girl but have some do-it-yourself hiking =)

We spent the night in the parking lot in the park, and then we went to see Joulupukki at the pole circle. Horrible SantaClaus Meets Capitalism -place, but anyhow we spent some time there and talked to Joulupukki a bit. We were not allowed to take any pictures in the santa room, but we should have bought a picture with 25€... Hummmm.....

Well, we just biked down to the city 9km downhill to see the city centre of Rovaniemi aswell. Looks nice so far. Sunshimy and all! We will have quite ride uphill tomorrow to reach our mobile home again, but it will do us good. The thing is that today we will spend the night in Rovaniemi Scandic hotel, thanks to the nice gift from Brunos workmates =)

I think tomorrow after visiting the Arctica museum we will head our way to Sweden side. If we finde some nice map or info about the Swedish Lapland we might spend a couple of days there aswell. And then drive down to Umeå to do our second friend-pit stop to see Eija and Ilkka. And do quite some laundry ;o)

Well, thats about that this time. Until next time, hasta la vista!

PS. If someone is having some old installation CDs of Windows then those would be a good thing for us to borrow.... Our computer problem is that we decided to re-install the windows in my old laptpo so that it would run a bit faster, and then have that one as our travel compu to use in internet cafes or so on. But one of the three CDs i had didn run, and now the whole laptop is as good as dead =( So if any of you who happen to be in our way would have the CDs that would be a big help. Otherweise we will by a small and cheap mini-lapotp and use that.... Well lets see, iiiiits oukei ;o)

*hugs*
